Ahhhh - back in Spain!!! Seville really is one of the most beautiful cities we have ever seen - a definite must-see! The cathedral of Seville is the largest of all Roman Catholic cathedrals... Supposedly it took 100 years to build - which I can believe with the amount of detail, it was gorgeous. We walked up the "giralda" (bell tower) and saw beautiful views of the city, including the bull fighting pen (below). A great way to finish off our trip to Portugal & Spain:)
The Algarve was beautiful! We stayed in Lagos for 6 nights...with a nice boardwalk, small streets full of restaurants and bars and a quaint yet bustling atmosphere. We found it seemed less touristy than Albufeira (which we visited for no more than a 1/2 day). We were really happy we rented a car, which allowed us to get off the beaten path and go to nicer, quieter beaches and towns along the Algarve.
Can't wait to start our ladies wine tasting club... since it is a bit short notice for this Tuesday - we will start at my place on Tuesday the 20th with SPAIN! Looking forward to it.
How could I not post our trip out East? It was great - but 10 days was not enough, we never even made it to Nova Scotia :(
But, PEI and New Brunswick were beautiful.. What was supposed to be a camping trip turned into luxury cottages in Cavendish and St. Andrews... I was quite content to say the least! We golfed, ate fresh lobster, went to the beach, hiked in Fundy National Park, toured around, ate great food - a really wonderful road trip. I am now a firm believer that people have not really seen Canada until they have been to the east and west coasts!
